With numbers reaching over 3 million, Ethiopia has the largest internally displaced population in the world. Little Sun has been working with IOM – International Organization for Migration SLO Ethiopia since 2017 to bring light to these vulnerable communities, focusing primarily on women and children. For women and girls, these lamps reduce rates of gender-based violence that is more likely to occur after sundown. Read more here!
Entrepreneur trainings, by our teams in Senegal and Burkina Faso, are the perfect opportunity for future sales agents to spread the word about access to sustainable energy, improve the livelihoods in rural areas, whilst making an extra income. These entrepreneurs become solar ambassadors and make a remarkable impact on the local economy. Since 2014, our entrepreneurship network – mostly women – has sold more than 40,000 solar products.
